Heather L Robinson-Lauer: University of AL
Counselor Update Committee; help with identifying venues, updating the program, contacting counselors, day of registration, etc.
Aspen Moore-Mann - Michigan State Univ.
The secretary committee members will assist in formatting the DARN booklet, updating member
pages, distributing to counselor lists, and receive counselor feedback. Another member will assist with the
attendance policy and the communication if needed.
Lexi Meador - University of Arkansas
This committee will help with the process of making DARN a 501 © non profit organization and other financially-related endeavors.
Tom Becker - University of Pittsburgh
Outreach assists counselors throughout DFW on setting up visits, college fairs, presentations, panels, etc.
Would need members willing to assist with breakdown of territories to assist in setting up visits and
speaking with counselors.
Looking for members to assist with social media (Instagram: @texasdarn) and maintenance of our ClubExpress membership platform including, but not limited to: website maintenance, troubleshooting, and onboarding new members.
The focus of the Membership committee is to promote fellowship, guidance, and support to new and
veteran members alike. The Membership Committee is looking to add 2-3 new committee members to
assist in the following areas:
- New Member Orientation & Welcome Wagon (update Welcome Wagon with each new member)
- New Member Recognition & Birthday Recognition (send communications)
- Social Events/Happy Hour Planning (coordinate and promote events)
- DARN Mentorship Program (assign pairings and send communications)
- DARNie of the Month (vote for D.O.M)
College Search Series Committee
The CSS committee works to plan and execute the CSS events. Committee members contact potential
hosts for CSS events, serve as the liaison between the committee and the host contact, attend and
volunteer at the CSS events, and assist with the implementation of new ideas. There is no member limit to
this committee, however past CSS committees have been successful with 5-8 members.
Chandra Cralle- Wichita State University
The swing committee will help identify potential swing schools and contacts. They will also serve as
day-of contacts and support during our events.I would love to have a few members from Dallas and from
Fort Worth to help!
Professional Development Committee
Planning and implementing different workshops and opportunities for our
members. This committee would also be involved in help to plan our Annual DARN Summer Conference.
